In honor of Father’s Day, Reebok is paying tribute to ‘Dad Bod’. They’ve done so by enlisting the expertise of CrossFit champion Rich Froning. It’s hard to make a living at CrossFit, but former champ Rich Froning has done exactly that, and he’s ready to impart his wisdom on the world by showing you how to cut down on ‘Dad Bod’ areas of the body.
The Dad Bod WOD (workout of the day) is designed to cut down on all those flabby parts of the body which collectively make up the notorious ‘Dad Bod’. Moobs, flabby arms, a donut hanging around the waist. All of these things combine to form ‘Dad Bod’ and the ‘Fittest Man on Earth’ is here to show anyone out there afflicted with Dad Bod how to target those areas and get back into shape.
Above, you can see CrossFit champ Rich Froning performing the Dad Bod while being coached on camera by Reebok trainer Kenny Santucci. This is all part of Reebok’s Father’s Day campaign which is actually kind of interesting. If you check out Reebok’s landing page for Father’s Day you’ll find Dad Bod themed Father’s Day e-cards that you can send your own dad.
As for what goes into the actual Dad Bod WOD from Rich Froning, here’s the breakdown:
Alternate every minute on the minute for 20 minutes (5 rounds)
A. 40sec hollow rocks to target that beer belly
B. 20 Russian twist to each side to crush those love handles
C. 15 push-ups with chisel the man boobs
D. 10 burpees for the full-body
