Earlier this week, The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz asked a question that has been on the minds of many NFL fans: Did Aaron Rodgers really tear his Achilles?

The conspiracy theory, which NFL fans absolutely love, isn’t without merit.

The fact that Aaron Rodgers is 39-years-old, it takes the average NFL player 9 to 12 months to recover, and just 54 days since his surgery he was on the field doing drop backs and launching the ball 55 yards in the air.

That’s just flat out not normal.

As Greg Scholz and The Athletic wrote following Kirk Cousins tearing his Achilles tendon, “According to the Cleveland Clinic, full healing of a torn Achilles tendon takes about four to six months, with longer timelines to be able to safely perform high-impact activities like running and jumping. That estimate is for average civilians and not professional athletes who need their bodies to perform at an extremely high level on a daily basis.”

On Wednesday, The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz was still talking about Aaron Rodgers.

“Aaron Rodgers, I think your doctors are fake. Debate me,” Le Batard said on the show.

“I want to debate you on I believe your doctors are giving misinformation on how injured you actually were,” Le Batard contined. “And I believe this is all a storyline plot meant for you.”

Previously, the show had speculated that the public feud with Adam Schefter earlier this year was manufactured to help make it so that when Schefter reported the Achilles injury everyone would believe to be true without investigating further.

The show also had a good time laughing about how Aaron Rodgers loves conspiracies so it’s only fitting that there is a conspiracy theory being floated about him.

“The birthplace of much conspiracy is I haven’t seen that before, I can’t explain it,” Le Batard continued. “He’s going to come back from this injury faster than anyone comes back from this injury.”
