We have been hearing about a possible Space Jam 2 for years now with various NBA players’ names been bandied about as possible leads, but it wasn’t until September of 2018 that we thought that it might actually happen.

It’s now been 24 years since the original Space Jam starring Michael Jordan alongside Bill Murray, Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Tyrone Bogues, Shawn Bradley and Larry Johnson hit theaters.

Space Jam 2 will see LeBron James in the lead role this time around with other NBA players like Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard, Chris Paul, Klay Thompson, Kyle Kuzma, and Russell Westbrook, as well as some WNBA stars like Diana Taurasi and Chiney and Nneka Ogwumike.

Yes, Klay Thompson.

Space Jam 2, which is being produced by Black Panther director Ryan Coogler, will also feature some actual actors like Don Cheadle, Sonequa Martin-Green as Savannah James, Ceyair J. Wright as LeBron “Bronny” James Jr.

And now we’ve got our first look at some pics of the Space Jam 2 uniforms the Tune Squad and the Monstars will be wearing come July 16, 2021 when the film is scheduled to premiere.

Here’s a shocker… Nike is already trying to cash in with some special LeBron 17s in the Monstars colors for NBA All-Star Weekend.
