It’s hard to think of many athletes who’ve managed to live up to the hype that surrounded them at a young age quite like LeBron James, who has somehow managed to transcend the wildly lofty expectations that were bestowed upon him as a high schooler.

It’s very hard to imagine any of LeBron’s offspring will be able to surpass the impressive legacy he’s built over the course of his legendary career, but Bronny James has still managed to turn plenty of heads thanks to what he’s done while playing high school ball at Sierra Canyon.

The elder James has repeatedly said he’d love to join forces with Bronny in the NBA, and while his son still has plenty of work to do if he wants to help his dad make that dream come true, he’s slowly but surely worked his way up the list of the top prospects in the country over the past few years.

There’s been a ton of speculation concerning what Bronny plans to do once he graduates from high school, but earlier this year, a report surfaced that suggested he’d narrowed down his list of potential college programs to Oregon and USC.

The senior will undoubtedly have a massive NIL bag waiting for him once he officially takes his game to the next level, and it’s not a stretch to assume LeBron’s longstanding partnership with Nike could give him some extra incentive to take his talents to the state where the company is headquartered.

However, there’s another notable prospect who’d prefer a different outcome: Isaiah Collier, the USC commit who’s ranked at the top of 247Sport‘s 2023 recruiting class (Bronny currently occupies the 33rd spot on that list).

Collier recently chatted with that outlet ahead of the McDonald’s All-American Game and made it very clear he’d love to see Bronny in a Trojans uniform, saying:

“He’s a great shooter. I feel like he’s one of the best all-around players in the country. So, he’s a great player and knows how to play the game and he’s not going to overdo anything.

I’m looking forward to [playing with him] and I’m definitely trying to recruit him. I’m just telling him he can stay home, that’s all I’ve got say.”

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how it all pans out.
