Let’s just get it out of the way. Jalen Ramsey is a national treasure. The Jacksonville Jaguars All-Pro cornerback is a dual threat. He’s one of the most entertaining guys when he’s on the field, and he’s one of the most entertaining guys when he is off it as well.
Bro keeps a bottle of the “Secret Stuff” from Space Jam in his locker, for God’s sake.
Ramsey also doesn’t mind taking shots at those he dislikes on social media, like former Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher, Patriots receivers, the entire NHL, and, well, most of the NFL’s quarterbacks.
So is it really any surprise that in the midst of looking for more money in the form of a new contract, the 24-year-old DB showed up to Jaguars training camp in the back of an armored truck?
Also, just to make sure everyone knew who had arrived, Ramsey employed social media personality/comedian HaHa Davis to be his hype man.
“This man’s coverage is so good, he’s gonna have his own cell phone service!” shouted Davis into a bullhorn. “The man’s so good, they’re gonna give him his own jail called Jalen County because these receivers are on 24-hour lockdown! If you check his pockets, he’s got 8 Master Locks in his pocket, they are on lockdown all season!”
“It’s time to get this money, money!” Davis added as Ramsey made his grand appearance.

And that, right there, is pretty much Jaguars team president Tom Coughlin’s worst nightmare come to life.
When Ramsey was one of two Jaguars players missing from voluntary workouts in the offseason, Coughlin said, “We’re very close to 100 percent attendance, and quite frankly, our players should be here building the concept of team, working hard side by side, constructing our bond of togetherness, formulating our collective priorities and goals. Success in the NFL demands struggle. Those who have everything given to them become lazy, selfish and insensitive to the real values of team. The hard work that many try to avoid is the major building block for the development of an outstanding football team.”
Prior to training camp, the Jags picked up the fifth-year option on Ramsey’s rookie deal, but since they didn’t renegotiate and give a new, more lucrative deal, Jalen said any chance of the team getting him for a discount next offseason has evaporated.
“Imma ask for so much money, they have to put me on lay-away” 😂😂😭😭

Reactions to Ramsey’s over-the-top appearance at Jags training camp on social media was mixed, to say the least.
What is wrong with you? How could you run this account with this level of unawareness? You’re posting this like this is a good thing ? He’s trying to hose your franchise for a crazy contract when you’re coming off a 6-10 season. You can’t win with him on a $6M contract now.

Going thru the thread. Doesn’t disappoint. Out of shape couch potatoes upset because grown man PLAYING a GAME for ENTERTAINMENT isn’t taking it SERIOUSLY enough (even though he’s by far one of the best at his craft) 😭
