The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here.

The Brooklyn Nets are facing the Philadelphia 76ers for the first time since their blockbuster trade back in February. That deal sent James Harden to the City of Brotherly Love, while Ben Simmons was off to the Big Apple.

Neither player left on great terms.

Simmons hasn’t played a game all year, and his relationships with other members of the Sixers’ roster was turbulent at best. Look no further than Joel Embiid’s response to the announcement of Simmons’ departure from the team. The former first round pick cut all contact with his teammates after leaving Philly.

Harden, on the other hand, wanted out of Brooklyn. He may not have formally asked for a trade, but he did everything but.

When all was said and done, it appeared to be a good deal for both sides.

Simmons gets a fresh start after losing confidence with the Sixers. Harden gets to a playoff contender with an MVP candidate down low.

While Simmons hasn’t seen the floor, Harden has done his best to make a mark in Philadelphia.

The team is a perfect 5-0 with the point guard on the floor, and their new star is averaging 24.6 points a night.

That great start has come to a screeching halt, though, in his first meeting with his old team.

James Harden Ripped For Poor Start Vs. Nets

Harden has come out of the gates slow versus Brooklyn.

In the first half, the lefty is shooting just 3-for-15 from the floor totaling 11 points. He missed 10 of his first 11 shots from the field and tallied a pair of turnovers.

The poor performance has helped the Nets to jump out to a 21-point lead at the midway point.

With Philly trailing 72-51 at the half, fans are taking the time to rip Harden’s poor shooting night in his debut matchup against his former squad.

We’ll see if his shooting improves in the second half.
