Jordan Bohannon isn’t necessarily a star on the court — he’s averaging a respectable 8.8 points and 3.3 assists per game — but he has superstar trash-talking skills, as evidenced by a recent stunt he pulled following a game against in-state rival Iowa State. Let’s just say it’s something that a guy like Michael Jordan would even be proud of.

After a 16-point victory over Iowa State, Jordan Bohannon took trolling to a whole new level, as he autographed his game-worn sneakers, and then planted them right in the middle of the Iowa State home floor. It might not be Baker Mayfield-esque — who famously planted the Oklahoma Sooners flag at midfield during a win over Ohio State in Columbus a couple years ago — but Bohannon’s move was every bit as lethal, with the visiting player writing “To ISU: Thanks for Memz,” on his kicks. So what was the motivation behind the stunt? In addition to Jordan Bohannon being a senior this year and never again playing at Iowa State, he said the idea came from something that nearly occurred three years ago during the Iowa-Iowa State rivalry.

“I won’t be back in this place,” Bohannon said after scoring 12 points as the Hawkeyes broke an eight-game Hilton losing streak that dates to 2003. “That’s something Iowa fans can hold onto for a little bit.”

Bohannon got the idea about the shoes because it was something that teammate Ryan Kriener said former Iowa State guard Monte Morris planned to do in Iowa City back in 2016. But the Hawkeyes won that game, and Morris didn’t get to follow through.

Bohannon was prompted to send something back to Ames after being needled by former Cyclone Georges Niang on Twitter, saying good-naturedly that “this ain’t carver, Hilton doesn’t let little boys in!!”

Man, Bohannon doesn’t forget, and he was able to follow through on showing up his school’s biggest rival. Pretty impressive, actually.

But the best reason for pulling such a savage move came from Jordan himself, who strictly said he just likes the chance to troll people.

“I’m always about trolling. I’m always about getting stuff stirred up.”

College hoops season was already back, but Jordan Bohannon pulling a boss move like this officially means rivalries are alive and well and ready for fans to sit back and enjoy. You’ve got to love it.
