Le’Veon Bell should be the most well-rested player in the league after a season-long holdout fueled by an indignant contract dispute with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The good news is that Bell signed a $52 million deal to play in the NFL for the next four years, but the bad news is that it’s with the New York Jets.

The three-time Pro Bowler posted an apology to any fantasy owners who drafted him last season, only to ultimately piss the pick away.

We will truly see how great of a player Bell is this season, running behind an offensive line that allowed Sam Darnold to be sacked 30 times in 2018. Pittsburgh had one of the top three best offensive lines in the league during Bell’s tenure, and Pro Football Focus ranked the five Jets starters, left to right, 81st, 51st, 39th, 68thand 104that their positions in 2018.

Bell led the league with 406 touches in 2017, is ranked as the No. 12 fantasy running back in points-per-reception formats by ESPN’s Matthew Berry.

As far as how fantasy owners took to Bell’s apology, he still has some buttering up to do…

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
