Mark Zuckerberg, Meta CEO and Facebook co-founder can now add another accolade to his never-ending list of accomplishments: producer/musician. Because Zuckerberg just got out of the studio with T-Pain to record a special version of ‘Get Low’ that I’m calling ‘Get Low (Mark’s Version)’ even though the real named is ‘Z Pain’ and the story behind why Mark did this is not only great… more on that below… but all of the proceeds from this song earned on Spotify will go to the Save The Music Foundation which helps fund music programs in schools.

Mark Zuckerberg teased this collaboration in the wee hours of Tuesday morning when he shared a picture of himself and his longtime friend T-Pain to his Instagram Stories and on Threads. It had a lot of people wondering what might be up so let’s dive into that along with the song below. Here’s MZ’s post on Threads that had people wondering what was up:

How On Earth Did Mark Zuckerberg And T-Pain Drop A New ‘Get Low’ Together?!

Also, yes, the original song *was* a Lil Jon song and that’s why this is (Mark’s Version). People have been pointing out that ‘Get Low’ was a Lil Jon song in the Instagram and Facebook comments and I’d assumed that was obvious and didn’t need clarifying but here we are.

STREAM it HERE:

Update 1.0: Mark Zuckerberg has since updated his story with clips of him revealing the T-Pain song to his wife Dr. Priscilla Chan who later responded to his post on Instagram about how she’s “more in love and grateful for (him) than ever.” You love to see it:

Well, today marks the 21st anniversary of Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Dr. Priscilla Chan going on their first date together when they were back at Harvard. They were at a party and T-Pain’s ‘Get Low’ was playing when they met. And because Mark has actually been close friends with T-Pain for years ever since Mark reached out via DMs only for T-Pain to not see it because Mark’s message was stuck under ‘requested’ and it’s something they joke about years later and after going on IG Live together back in 2021. For those who didn’t know, T-Pain used to never check his DMs.

This Collab Was A Long Time Coming

Flash forward to earlier this year and T-Pain hooked up Mark with his own ‘Z-Pain’ chain. Mark has been rocking a gold chain in honor of his family for months now but T-Pain gifted him this one back in July.

This is in addition to becoming a full-blown ‘Watch Guy’ and designing his own custom t-shirts as his style has taken off. So for those reading the room it was only a matter of time before Mark Zuckerber got in the studio with T-Pain and laid down this fire new track.

For those keeping track at home… Mark unveiled an insanely beautiful statue of his wife earlier this year, a Roman tradition he sought to revive, and now he’s gifted her a custom T-Pain song as a tribute to their 21st dating anniversary. This man is out here giving his wife the world because he can. You absolutely LOVE to see it.

Mark also shared the full story of meeting Dr. Priscilla Chan at a Harvard frat party on their dating anniversary last year. It was *the* party where he believed he was about to get kicked out of Harvard. Ultimately, that didn’t matter because Mark left to become the most successful millennial in history.

Update 3.0: It cannot be overstated how popular this song was when it dropped yesterday. I’ve since scoured the Spotify charts and there hasn’t been enough data to put ‘Get Low’ from Z-Pain on the charts yet. But given that this surf rock’d out version of Lil Jon’s ‘Get Low’ was picked up by the New York Times and every other media outlet on earth, it’s safe to say Mark and T-Pain have a hit on their hands.
