On Sunday, the New England Patriots faced off against the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII, a matchup that will go down in history as a game that happened.

Almost 100 million people tuned in to watch what may be the worst championship in the history of the NFL and I’m willing to bet almost everyone who isn’t Adam Levine’s mom regretted doing so at some point (and I’m willing to bet even she wasn’t thrilled with the unnecessary nipple blasting).

This year’s Super Bowl was the least viewed game in the past decade, and while you can blame the dropoff on a number of factors, I’d be remiss if I didn’t give some credit to the salty New Orleans Saints fans who helped make it possible.

In an alternate universe, the Saints and the Pats would have faced off on Sunday and there’s a good chance we would have gotten enough entertainment value to make sitting through underwhelming commercials and a medley of Maroon 5 songs worth it.

Unfortunately, the Saints got screwed out of a chance to play in the Super Bowl after being on the receiving end of one of the worst no-calls you’ll ever see and we got to watch Ryan Gosling’s long-lost brother disappoint us instead.

Saints fans have not taken the loss well and decided to spend Sunday partying in the streets instead of tuning into the Super Bowl.

The ratings in the area would decline drastically compared to the last year thanks to the boycott but there’s one fan who went to greater length’s than any other to stick it to the NFL.

According to CNN, Henry A. Jaume, Sr. was a 65-year-old Saints fan who had made it his mission to avoid the Super Bowl at all costs this year. Jaume managed to do exactly that by dying just hours before kickoff, leaving behind an amazing legacy and an obituary with an opening for the ages.

That’s how you show em’.
