St. Thomas Aquinas is a high school football powerhouse for a reason. The reigning Florida Class 5A champions are consistent.

With summer workouts officially underway, the Raiders have not wavered from what works.

Some fans of high school football might consider their daily routine to be performative but they win. You can’t hate on something that consistently yields tangible results.

St. Thomas Aquinas is a high school football powerhouse.

St. Thomas Aquinas is a private, Catholic, college preparatory high school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Established 90 years ago in 1936, it enrolls approximately 2,400 students in Grades 9-12.

The Titans compete in the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 5A in District 15. Their football team rarely loses.

First and foremost, St. Thomas Aquinas is an NFL factory. It has produced players like Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin, the Bosa twins, Geno Atkins, James White, Asante Samuel Jr., and Dallas Turner, among many others.

The depth of talent directly correlates to wins.

The Titans are the most successful high school football program in Florida history. They claim 17 state championships in total, including 12 of the last 16— dating back to 2010. They only did not win the title in 2011, 2013, 2017 and 2018. That’s it.

St. Thomas Aquinas has not lost more than three games in a single season since the turn of the millennium. It won its seventh-straight state championship last season. You will not find a more dominant team anywhere in the country.

Summer workouts are underway in Florida!

The Titans are set to begin the 2026 high school football season on August 14. Fall camp will start at the beginning of the month.

Although we are still a few weeks away from the first formal practice, the work does not stop. St. Thomas Aquinas began its ‘Summer Sacrifice’ in early June.

The intense, faith-centered offseason training program focuses on physical conditioning, discipline and brotherhood.

Every day begins with pre-practice rituals like devotionals and prayers that emphasize the school’s commitment to faith, character and accountability. Athletes then endure rigorous early-morning workouts designed to build strength and mental toughness.

Each drill is designed to emphasize selflessness.

The team must rely on each other to succeed. The work is not done until every player on the team has played his role.

They must always be in sync or they must start over from the top.

Of course, there is also plenty of time in the weight room.

The haters love to point and laugh at the Titans for being “performative” in their workouts. The haters are… very wrong.

St. Thomas Aquinas stays winning. They play hard, fast and disciplined. That starts in June. It continues throughout the summer and into the official start of the season in August.

Xs and Os are one thing. Raw talent is another. Neither of those things guarantee results. Discipline and cohesion does.

Rome wasn’t built in one day. Nor is the most successful high school football program in Florida.
