Tidbits about the final season of Game of Thrones have been leaking out little by little. We are only weeks away from Season 8 hitting our screens and we now know which of our favorite characters will and won’t be in the premiere episode.

The fans found the cast list for Episode 1 of Season 8 and there was one major character missing from the first episode and two surprise characters returning.

You will see major characters such as Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), and Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey). Also appearing in the first episode will be Tobias Menzies who plays Edmure Tully, which is Catelyn Stark’s younger brother. Last we saw Edmure, he was imprisoned in Walder Frey’s dungeon in Season 7.

Also returning is Lino Facioli, who plays Robin Arryn, the cousin of Sansa and Arya Stark, who really enjoyed breastfeeding from his mother when it became bizarre. Young Robin hasn’t been seen since Season 6.

However, the more notable news is who won’t be in the first episode. Vladimir Furdik will not be in the first episode. If the name Vladimir Furdik doesn’t ring a bell, it is because Vladimir Furdik is the actor who plays the Night King.

So if you thought that the Knight King and his Army of the Dead and his zombie Viserion would make it to Winterfell in the first episode after tearing down The Wall, you’ll have to wait until at least Episode 2. But it is more likely in Episode 3 when Season 8’s major battle of all battles will go down in Westeros.

There are only six episodes in Season 8, here are how long each episode is. Game of Thrones returns on April 14, 2019.
