Odell Beckham Jr. isn’t having the season he typically has, with the Cleveland Browns wide receiver seeing his stats drop significantly in his first season with the team. While OBJ has shown some frustration with his lack of targets — with audio allegedly being captured of him complaining during a game against the Denver Broncos — for the most part, the mercurial wideout has been on his best behavior.

Thing is, like most players on the Browns, Odell Beckham Jr. is frustrated with one thing: losing. After the Browns were a trendy pick to win the AFC North and, potentially, compete for a Super Bowl, things haven’t exactly gone that way. Struggling all season long, the team sits at 5-7, and has a low possibility of even reaching the playoffs.

With the Browns’ offense still trying to mesh, rumors have popped up that Beckham’s frustration may lead to him being traded this offseason. While the media has run with that narrative, the receiver only added fuel to the fire the other day when he gave a vague answer about what his future in Cleveland might hold.

Did Odell Beckham Jr. say he wanted to leave? No. Did he reiterate that he was happy in Cleveland? No. But, because he’s a superstar, many took his words as a sign that he wants out. But OBJ is trying to do what he can to quash those rumors.

Taking to Twitter on Friday, Beckham. Jr. shut down any rumors that he doesn’t want to be part of the Browns, openly saying that he’s hoping for better results. Take a look below.

In addition to his tweet, OBJ seemed to suggest something similar on his Instagram account, posting a photo of him in his Browns uniform with a caption that appears to be taking a shot at any rumors about him being unhappy in Cleveland.

Odell Beckham Jr.’s stats may not be where he, nor anyone else, expects, but he’s part of a franchise that’s still trying to learn how to win, and develop a positive culture that hasn’t existed in the past 20 years. With his good friend and former college teammate Jarvis Landry on the roster, it seems like Beckham’s happy with where he’s at — but, because he’s an outspoken superstar, many are taking his words and trying to create a dramatic narrative. We’ll have to see how all this turns out in the future.
