Oh, you think he is a “turd” who’s “the biggest disappearing act in the National Football League” and if you were running America’s Team you wouldn’t have resigned him for five-years and $100 million?
But… the Washington Redskins reportedly offered Cooper even MORE money than the Cowboys did.
Oh, right… they’re the Redskins. Making smart organizational decisions isn’t exactly their forte.
Sexy Rexy made his feelings known about Cooper on the Friday morning edition of Get Up.
“I wouldn’t have paid this guy. To me this is the biggest disappearing act in the National Football League,” Ryan said on the show. ” He doesn’t show up on the road. He doesn’t show up against… when the competition’s good, when he’s against the top corners, that guy disappears.”
Ryan wasn’t done, adding, “He doesn’t love football. Hell with it, he stops his routes, he does all this, I wouldn’t have paid this turd. No way in hell. No way in hell would I have paid this guy.”
Well, alrighty then.
Ryan isn’t alone in that assessment of Cooper as one NFL executive told The Athletic, “It comes down to, how many guys are really difference makers? That is who you pay top of the market to. I’m sorry, Amari Cooper helps, but he does not tilt the field. He has not shown up consistently.”
Rex was really on a roll on Friday. He also called drafting Tua Tagovailoa the biggest gamble in the history of the NFL draft. You listening, Miami?
Eh, the Redskins are probably going to sign Tua anyway, because of course they are.
