It was the slap heard ’round the world. After Chris Rock made a G.I. Jane joke in reference to Will Smith’s wife Jada’s buzzcut, Smith walked up on to the Oscars stage and walloped Rock right there in front of God and everyone.

Much has since been made of The Slap in the hours since it took place. Why hasn’t Will Smith been arrested? Will he be stripped of the Academy Award he won Sunday night? Was The Slap even real and not something that was staged ahead of time?

Everyone from Judd Apatow to Brittany Mahomes had something to say about it. (Neither of their takes on The Slap went over very well.)

Jake Paul offered Will Smith and Chris Rock $15 million each to box

One of the better responses to Will Smith slapping the hell out of Chris Rock came from YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul.

Pretty sure that Smith and Rock, despite the generous offer, a) don’t need the money, and b) won’t be taking Paul up on it. Plus, Diddy says the beef has already been squashed, so there you go.

Interestingly, the $30 million Jake Paul offered Rock and Smith is only half what he previously offered Kanye West and Pete Davidson to box each other.

There’s also the fact that Rock reportedly joked that he “got punched” by Muhammad Ali and “didn’t get a scratch” so what does he really have to prove, right?

Regardless, folks on the internet had plenty to say about a potential Will Smith vs. Chris Rock boxing match.
